Blue Cross needs you! Help the nation’s horses and win a photoshoot
Leading animal charity Blue Cross is calling on all owners and keepers of horses, ponies, donkeys and mules in the UK to take part in their National Equine Health Survey (NEHS)from 7 to 13th May.
NEHS is a twice-yearly survey run in partnership with the British Equine Veterinary Association and sponsored by Pfizer Animal Health. For the first time, it is helping to discover more about common health issues in horses, such as coughs, skin diseases and lameness, with the aim of improving the health and welfare of horses in the UK in the future.
Kerry Doyle, education officer at Blue Cross said: “We owe it to our horses to keep them in the best possible health and the survey is a quick and easy way of taking direct action. If you are an owner or keeper of a horse, pony, donkey or mule we urge you to participate.”
Whether you own one horse or twenty, Blue Cross needs your help. Simply pick one day during the week to fill in the survey. All details will remain anonymous and it should take less than five minutes.
Everyone who takes part will be entered into a competition to win a professional photoshoot with their horse and could get to be the future face of NEHS. Plus the charity also has five pairs of Ariat Mudbuster boots to give away, worth £69.99 each!
